The new look...

So, to be honest, I'm quite fond of the new layout. I like the art. I like the colors. But, then again, you are the reader, so I want your input.

Thoughts on the new design?

(Oh, and I just figured out that this layout is made for a widescreen monitor. If you can't see the giant squid on the far right, then make your window bigger and check him out. I might need to see if I can compress the background art for a normal viewing ratio instead of widescreen format.)

yes.

lol...

but that's why i asked. i wanna know if its still easy to read. if its not easy to read, then i'll change the color scheme/layout.

i'm still working on the HTML code, so i'm not against switching it up.

I like the look. The font seems really big though. I prefer smaller font so there isn't such a long block. Maybe that's just a mental thing.

I also can't see the whole background... :/

i like it, but i hear mitch's comment about the font size. it's totally mental, but makes a difference. granted, there are those like jason whose eyes are *already* hurting looking at it, so who knows if a smaller font's a good idea. all in good fun, guys, all in good fun :)

I think it needs a font this size so its easier to read. Small, white font is tough to focus on for me.

I'm not a fan of dark backgrounds with white font. But this blue with white doesn't bother my eyes. Yet, I knew it might still be too bright for people.

I've looked at a lot of stuff, but haven't found any art or backgrounds I just love. So I'm still working on it.

I dunno...

We'll see.

I read your blog via Google Reader, so the point might be moot, but I would say I find the background a bit distracting. In my book content is king. Anything that takes away from the readability of a post is a bad thing. I say go crazy on the background, but leave the text area high contrast.
